Bassetlaw Young Carer Christmas party

On Saturday the 15th December 2018 the young carers of Bassetlaw were given a Christmas party they thoroughly deserved.

This was organised by Focus on Young People in Bassetlaw, Barnsley Premier Leisure, Home Instead and The Carers Hub.

Funding for the event came from FoYPiB, BPL, a local Councillor, and local businesses. Each young person was given a one year’s membership for BPL sites.

Donation tables were set up at all the BPL sites at Bircotes, Retford and Worksop and also at Bassetlaw District Council office many people within the community donated gifts. The gifts were given to the young people on the day.

The children thoroughly enjoyed their day out, here’s some of the comments made by parents and young carers on the day!
