Worksop Young Carers Christmas Party 2025

Focus on Young People in Bassetlaw work in partnership with BPL and Tu Vida to give Young Carers of Worksop an amazing Christmas party.

                                                                      

Working in partnership with BPL and Tu-Vida Focus helped put on a Christmas Party for Worksop Young Carers.  

With donations provided from Retford Rotary Club, Retford Lions Club,  Bassetlaw District Council, Pandrol, From the Heart Charity and The Freemasons of Bassetlaw the Christmas Party was a huge success.   Staff and  customers at Your Space Bircotes, Retford and Worksop donated toys and presents and nobody went home without a present or a prize.  Supported every step of the way by BCVS (Bassetlaw Community Voluntary Service) and Vicky Waring (Glow Flow Therapist) – thank you for volunteering to help the evening run smoothly.  Young Carers were kept busy with Christmas crafts and a game of Bingo.   After they had Christmas tea they were entertained by ‘Andy & Lewis’ who put on an amazing show.

Every child was given a winning raffle ticket where a host of goodies, donated by From The Heart charity were on offer and before they left, received an age appropriate Christmas bag filled with toys, crafts, games and a selection box. 

It goes without saying a great time was had by all and it was extremely satisfying to see the big smiles on the young carers faces, being given an amazing party just for them and a well deserved few hours off!
