Welbeck Estate 10K Fun Run/Walk

This year’s annual 10K Fun Run/Walk around the Welbeck Estate was a huge success and a great time was had by all.

 

On Sunday 12th May, the charity held its annual Fun Run/Walk around the Welbeck Estate.   The 10K event attracted 360 participants, raising over £3600 for the charity.  The beautiful course for runners and walkers alike attracted a host of ages and abilities, we had very positive feedback about the scenery and the weather was very kind to us once again.  The event was very well organised with a water station at the start/finish as well as three additional water stations en-route.  All runners and walkers that completed the course were also awarded a 10K medal with the charities logo on a purple ribbon.

The event was supported by volunteers and Trustees of the charity, Worksop Rotary club, Valley Young Peoples Centre and Carlton-in-Lindrick Youth Club;  Thanks to all who helped make this event possible! Special thanks too, to Alison Swan Parente, the owner of the estate and the charities President for allowing us to hold this fabulous event.
