FoYPiB Proud to Receive Young Carers Recognition

Here at Focus on Young People in Bassetlaw we are immensely proud of the good work we do with Young Carers and have recently received recognition for our efforts.

                                                          

Elizabeth Choo from Nottinghamshire Carers Association came to award Focus on Young People in Bassetlaw and our partners BPL, certificates of recognition to celebrate the good work we do with young carers in Bassetlaw.  

The charity has worked in partnership with BPL (photo above right), Home Instead and Tu Vida to provide ongoing services to young carers in Bassetlaw. We have provided many young carers with light relief from home, by hosting parties with live entertainment to celebrate key events like Easter and Christmas, as well as taking them on trips like a private screening at the cinema with Dominos.

Staff from Focus on Young People in Bassetlaw recently completed Young Carer Awareness Training, gaining the “Young Carer Friendly Organisation 2024/25” kite mark.  The Charity Development Manager, Noelle Barron received the Young Carers Champion Badge.

We are immensely proud of the work we do with young carers across Bassetlaw and will continue working with our partners to provide this amazing service.
