Boy dancer wins more medals and secures London West End Part!

Since winning a Gold Medal at the Dance World Cup last year, William Barker has had an amazing year.

In October last year he attended an audition for a part in a role at The National Theatre in London.  He was sucessfully cast as 'Young James' in the new musical
Standing at the Skys Edge.  The musical is based on the life of the family’s in the well known flats at Park Hill in Sheffield.  The show transferred from Sheffield in February this year.  It was a huge success & went on to Win 3 Olivier awards.

Following that Will won various regional dance championships before again attending Dance World Cup in Portugal. He had an amazing week in Portugal & scooped 4 Silver Medals & a bronze.

Back home to training & his biggest dance achievement was at the beginning of August, where William attended the British TDCI Dance Championships in Fleetwood.
The competition was fierce with 80 per section!  We are absolutely over the moon to report that Will won the British Juvenile TDCI Song & Dance Championships & placed 3rd in the British Juvenile Ballet Championships.

Earlier this year William was cast as Christopher Robin in the UK Tour of Winnie the Pooh.  He’s also just found out he’s been cast in a local Christmas Show, which is very exciting!

His next big competition now won’t be until next Summer when he's aiming for the All England Dance finals.  Good luck William, you've had an amazing year and we can't wait to hear the next update!
