Golden Summer

Summer who FoYPiB supported early in 2026 has gone from strength to strength since receiving the grant from us.

Summer has improved her PBs in all of the following events which form part of her Heptathlon (7 events)

High Jump - 1.57m indoors and 1.55m Outdoors

800m - 2m 47s

Long Jump - 4.92m

80m Hurdles outdoor- 12.9s

60m Hurdles indoor - 9.7s

Shot put - 8.59m

Javelin - 25.35m

200m - 28.9

Overall indoor pentathlon score - 2831

Summer has gained a number of medals so far this year.

* 2nd at the Northern Indoor Championships in High Jump

*17th in the National Indoor Pentathlon Championships. She is now ranked 14th in England.

*1st place in The Nottinghamshire County Athletics Championships in High Jump, 2nd place in Hurdles and 3rd place in Long Jump.

*1st place in the Nottinghamshire Schools Combined events trials. She is now representing Notts at the Regional championship on 27th/28th June.

*Representing Bassetlaw Schools at the Nottinghamshire Championship in Hurdles and High Jump on 13th June.
