Funding criteria

Details of Criteria which has to be met before assistance will be considered

• Any funding should only be used for young people aged 8-25 years.
• Any funding should have a direct benefit to young people in Bassetlaw and its environs and must be used for the specific purpose of the project.
• Financial assistance will only be offered once in any twelve month period.
• The application should show clear statements of purpose and benefit to young people particularly those who are disaffected and/or disengaged.
• Where possible there should be a demonstration of willingness and capacity to obtain support/funding from other agencies e.g. own fund raising activities.
• The project should be initiated by young people themselves with support and backing from professionals/carers in the 'field'.
• There must be a clearly identified and well supported need.
• Where appropriate links with other agencies should be demonstrated.
• Equal Opportunities and Health and Safety regulations are taken into account
  at all times.
• To assist in future consideration the Trustees will require a short progress report
  after six months.

It is expected that all groups supported by FoYPiB have a Child Protection Policy
in place.

Please note: In the case of adventurous activities the Board of Trustees of Focus on Young People in Bassetlaw accept no responsibility. The Charity expect you as the organisation to carry out a full risk assessment prior to the commencement of the activity and have suitable insurance cover.
